Peat 5032 100% Pure New Boiled Wool Melange. Pure New Australian boiled wool fabric. The perfect fabric for winter coats, sweaters and jackets. Popular for waterfull coats where no facings or hems are needed. Also often used for ‘Chanel’ style jackets. Beloved by all the top designers this textile is the epitome of luxury and style. Melange comes from the French: Melange – which means a mixture or blend and is usually used to describe the colour of fabric or yarn.
Melange fabric is produced by weaving a mixture of raw and dyed fibres or two different coloured fibres together to create a unique two-tone colour effect and an abstract textured pattern.
